Cooking has always been a passion of ours at Redoak. Fresh, local ingredients are sourced wherever possible and all sauces are freshly made; no tins or packets allowed!

At weekends we home-bake our own bread which compliments the home made preserves or our very special homemade soup.

Our orchard supplies the kitchen with plenty of apples and damsons. The rhubarb is looking very good for this year too. We are also going to grow more vegetables this year, and we hope you can enjoy the many more foods to come.

Vegetarian diets and wheat free diets are not a problem for Redoak; please advise us on booking and we can accommodate your needs.

Breakfast can either be a tradtional Full English Breakfast, kedgeree, or a fresh fruit salad with yoghurt. All come with toast or breakast pastries.

Packed lunches will comprise a sandwich of choice or a salad box, with a slice of quiche or sausage pie follwed by fruit and a slice of cake.

The evening meal served depends on the season. Our current end-of-spring menu can consist of:

Twice baked cheese souffle with salad garni

Beef and apricot casserole served with fresh vegetables

Profiteroles with warm chocolate sauce
